Ms. Koog currently excels as a lieutenant at the Georgetown Police Department in Texas.
GEORGETOWN, TX, October 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Renee L. Koog has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Ms. Koog began her career at American Express. During this time, a colleague suggested she pursue a career in law enforcement. Although she was hesitant, she decided to submit an application and subsequently advanced through each step of the training process. Ms. Koog later found success with the Phoenix Police Department.
Ms. Koog currently excels as a lieutenant at the Georgetown Police Department in Texas, with which she has been active for nearly 15 years. In her current position, she is responsible for officer accreditation, general teaching and training, and supervising crime analyses. Ms. Koog also works on policy development and changes, manages the department's resiliency committee, and handles all of their awards and ceremonies.
For her exemplary efforts in her career, Ms. Koog has been recognized as Officer of the Year, Supervisor of the Year, and Citywide Manager of the Year. She was incredibly grateful for the opportunity to return to Patrol to supervise a squad of officers, which led to her promotion to lieutenant. Over the years, she has considered her greatest achievement to have been her work in facilitating the growth of members of the department. Having watched many of her officers receive promotions to other divisions, Ms. Koog believes she has helped guide her peers toward those valuable achievements.
In her community, Ms. Koog volunteers with Blue Santa, the Texas Alive Team and the Life at LEMIT Alumni Association. Professionally, she maintains her affiliation with the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and the FBI-Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI-LEEDA). Notably, she has attributed her professional success to people who believed in her throughout her career, as well as her own drive to learn more and do better. She is grateful for her family, which she believes is the most important support system because they have shaped her and enabled her to be grounded over the years. Looking toward the future, Ms. Koog plans to continue rising through the ranks in the Georgetown Police Department.
