Ms. Kantola, the outreach and communications director for El Dorado Community Health Centers, (EDCHC) is a knowledgeable and experienced professional who leverages her many talents to benefit the organization and support the health care field. She is responsible for establishing workflows to strengthen communication throughout the organization. She also focuses on community awareness, promoting outstanding staff members through the media, and creating ongoing programs to meet fundraising needs. Additionally, she handles the press, health trends, center documentation, and provides support to board members. Over the past several years in her position, Ms. Kantola has been instrumental in raising funds to support the mission of EDCHC. Among her greatest achievements, she resourcefully cultivated the marketing and outreach department.
As a nonprofit community-based health center, EDCHC provides comprehensive medical, dental, mental health and specialty health care services to local residents. Founded in 2003, the organization now has more than 150 staff members across five locations. She is experienced in both health care and management. Ms. Kantola began her career with the EDCHC in 2006, where she spent seven years as an outreach manager, as well as the MIS manager, before transitioning into her current role.
Ms. Kantola is also a former senior application support analyst for Adventist Health. In the healthcare industry for more than 15 years, she aspires to continue providing quality health care to the community while also reducing the barriers that prevent access. As a commitment to her community, she often donates her time to local nonprofits. Ms. Kantola has also served on the finance committee for CASA EI Dorado and on the board of the EI Dorado Hills Community Vision Coalition and SummitView Child and Family Services Inc.
Ms. Kantola was raised in a bilingual and bicultural English/Spanish home. Ms. Kantola obtained a Bachelor of Science in business management at the University of Phoenix in 2008. Ten years later, she completed a Master of Business Administration in project management at the Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University. In accounting for her success, Ms. Kantola credits her education and family, who taught her the basic foundation of a lifelong commitment to learning.
