MALDEN, MA, October 19, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Steve Fama has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
As a teenager, Mr. Fama would frequent a local radio station, where he eventually became friends with the management and the DJs. While in his senior year of high school, he decided to pursue a career in the field. However, due to financial constraints, he wasn't able to attend his college of choice. Upon graduating high school, he began his career with the City of Somerville Assessor's Department, where he worked for more than a decade and a half when he left to became one of three assessors in the City of Malden.
Mr. Fama gained valuable professional expertise as an Accredited Assessor for the State of Massachusetts. Backed by his considerable knowledge, he excels today as manager of geographical information system operations for the City of Malden. Alongside his work with the local government, he channels his creativity into his work as owner of Steve Fama Photography and as Owner and Program Director for Random Music Radio, a home internet radio station that plays a wide variety of music dating back to the 1920s.
In order to remain abreast of changes in his fields, Mr. Fama aligns himself with Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School and the Massachusetts Association of Assessing Officers. Outside of his work, he devotes himself to his community through Malden Girl Scouts, including previously operating as the cookie manager for Malden Girl Scout Troop 71139, and as a Eucharistic minister through his local church. Due to his professional accomplishments, he received an Outstanding Tradesman Award from the Drafting Department of Somerville High School. Although his career has been filled with highlights, he is most proud of meeting local politicians at an event titled "Assessing the Future," and of teaching a workshop at Fitchburg College. Looking ahead, Mr. Fama intends to expand his radio station and photography and retire from his role with the government.
