Ms. Amariz is currently pursuing a degree in interior design at the Interior Design Institute, having already obtained a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and a Post-Graduation degree in business management from the Universidad del Norte in Colombia, where she was recognized as a top student. Ms. Amariz began her career as a buyer in the coal mining industry in Colombia. Following this experience, she was employed as a Purchasing Manager at a department store. Upon relocating to Puerto Rico, she was recruited by Eli Lilly & Co. and started a career in the pharmaceutical industry that took her to be a project manager for Boston Scientific, with which she thrived for five years. A natural entrepreneur, she additionally flourished as the owner of Mona Foods in Houston.
Subsequently, Ms. Amariz became an investor, partner and the head of finance at her husband's company, FlexiPlus Services and with him started ROWL Trucking as a specialized transportation company in the bulk liquid arena. For over 10 years, she excelled as the director and head of finance at both companies. Notably, in this role, she helped the company to increase its revenue by over 300% from $300K to almost $10M. Ms. Amariz oversees 60+ employees, mentors them, ensures that customers are satisfied, oversees projects and attends weekly meetings. Aside from her primary vocational pursuits, she is a member of the Texas chapter of the Briar Club. In the future, she hopes to expand her business and become a leader in the logistics industry.
Her passion for Interior Design has always been a part of her life and finally made her take the decision of opening Your Elevated Space, to help others elevate their spaces so they could live and work in a space they love.
