LOS ANGELES, CA, October 22, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Michael Everest has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process. Dr. Everest is a leader in resident medical placement with his company Residents Medical Group, and non-profit organization The Everest Foundation.
Dr. Everest has excelled as the founder and chairman emeritus of The Everest Foundation, a Los Angeles based non-profit organization that provides research and training opportunities to medical students in need. Stressing the importance of graduate medical education, the aforementioned organization notes that less than 30% of medical school graduates actually receive relevant research experience during their postgraduate studies. To bridge the gap, The Everest Foundation aligns these students with top medical centers and teaching hospitals throughout the country. The Everest Foundation also supports various wellness initiatives for residents suffering from burnout, addiction and mental health issues.
Working alongside his wife, Agata Everest, who operates as the board chair, Dr. Michael Everest hopes to form additional residency programs at community-based hospitals through The Everest Foundation to support future doctors and better serve the underserved. As an extension of his primary responsibilities, Dr. Everest has found success as the board chair and chief academic officer for Residents Medical Group, a sister organization of The Everest Foundation that assists doctor shortages.
Prior to his present positions, Dr. Everest notably served as a consultant for physician shortages in Sussex, Kent, and Pembury Hospitals. He was also active as a systems improvement team at the David Bruce Military Hospital in Malta. To prepare for his career, Dr. Everest obtained an undergraduate degree before transferring to Liberty University, from which he earned both a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy.
Dr. Michael Everest is a prominent member of the American Medical Association and the International Students Initiative. He notably accrued an Honorary Medical Degree from Dow Medical College. Dr. Everest was also presented with a Most Supportive Business Award in 2021.
