LOS FRESNOS, TX, October 29, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James Bush has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Bush served as the chief executive officer and principal of Independent Resource Management Inc. (now of Texas) between 2011 and 2021, and previously as both President of the Select Resources subsidiary, and Vice President of Exploration for Tri-Valley Corporation. In his capacity as a consultant, his responsibilities included assisting clients according to their needs regarding gold deposits in Alaska, British Columbia, California, and North Carolina; industrial mineral deposits in Alaska; and on- and off-shore oil and gas projects in Alaska, Texas, California and elsewhere.
Mr. Bush is a member of the American Institute of Professional Geologists, the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration, the Alaska Miners Association, the Alaska Geological Society, the American Chemical Society, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, and previously the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, the Society of Exploration Paleontologists and Mineralogists, and the Association of Ground Water Scientists & Engineers. During an earlier stage of his career, he created the correct geologic model for the Valdez Creek gold deposit in Alaska, which had been examined by geologists for more than two decades. Mr. Bush was able to make a breakthrough discovery, which led to the largest placer gold producer in North America, for approximately 10 out of 12 years, one of the high watermarks of his early career. Other achievements included generating the first geologic model for CO2 production/storage for Atlantic Richfield, plaintiff's expert witness in the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trial, and key geological appraiser for net-operating-loss sales for several Alaska Native Corporations, one of which, at that time, was the largest single tax right down in the history of the United States, ultimately providing financial support for many native peoples in Alaska.
Mr. Bush obtained a bachelor's of science degree from Ohio State University, where he studied engineering and geology. Following this accomplishment, he completed his Master's of Science thesis from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 1978-1982. While working in geology can be difficult, Mr. Bush attributes much of his success to the fulfillment he experiences while completing a project, making a new discovery, or accomplishing something that provided benefit to many people. Looking toward the future, he plans to continue to help key clients, publish key technical papers, and finish the patents he and his wife are presently working on, and perhaps, of course, travel more extensively.
