As the chief executive officer, Mr. Gottlieb provides intellectual property development and third-party placement to inventors and designers, offers business development consulting, and conducts primary, secondary, and experimental research. He has additionally served as an expert witness over the years in a number of major toy industry-related cases. In his work as a publisher for Global Toy News, Mr. Gottlieb releases articles from play industry experts on the toy business.
Throughout his career, Mr. Gottlieb has expanded upon his expertise by earning a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from the University of Richmond and a Master of Business Administration in global management from the University of Phoenix. Due to his outstanding breadth of knowledge, he has been featured in "Christmas Through the Decades" on the History Channel, "A Lego Brickumentary" on Amazon Prime as well as numerous television and radio interviews for the BBC, ABC News and The New York Times. He has been invited to speak at play industry functions in Sao Paulo, Brazil; Shanghai, China; Hong Kong; Nuremberg, Germany; Moscow, Russia; Ibi, Spain; Zagreb, Croatia, and Copenhagen, Denmark. In addition, he has spoken at domestic events in Chicago, Las Vegas, New York, Washington, DC, and Los Angeles.
Mr. Gottlieb has further authored several works, such as "Ambassador to the Kingdom of Wal-Mart." Mr. Gottlieb is a voting member of the Toy Hall of Fame.
Although his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Gottlieb is incredibly proud of being recognized in The New York Times. When he was growing up in a small southern town in Hampton, Virginia, he and his father would drive to a hotel to pick up a copy of the publication every Sunday. Even though his father had passed on by the time he appeared in the publication, he still considers it as one of the most gratifying moments of his life. Looking ahead, Mr. Gottlieb aims to expand his business and continue to increase his public awareness.
