Mr. Frutig initially earned a Bachelor of Science in biology, chemistry and anthropology at Ball State University in 1971, and a Masters in Business Management in government and public relations in 2004. Furthermore, Mr. Frutig is a lifetime member of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity. As a Safety Professional, Mr. Frutig has been a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) for over 25 years.
Since 1986 Mr. Frutig has excelled as a Corporate Safety Health and Environmental Manager for four major international corporations. Currently, Mr. Frutig is Corporate HSE Manager for C&A Tool Engineering, a division of the worldwide MinebeaMitsumi Group. In this current position, his responsibilities include ensuring that C&A Facilities are operating in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulatory requirements. Mr. Frutig also oversees C&A's participation in MinebeaMitsumi's globally aggressive Sustainability of Natural Resources Initiative.
As a result of his stellar professional efforts, Mr. Frutig was presented with a MinebeaMitsumi Group President's Award for Excellence in 2021.
Mr. Frutig attributes his success to his Christian faith and the support of his wife Suzanne, to whom he has been married for more than 50 years. He maintains that his accomplishments in the field of corporate safety and environmental performance emerged from his focus on ensuring that the industrial manufacturing work places he is responsible for are safe and healthy environments for all employees. He is incredibly proud that his positive impact of implementing safety practices on the production floor have substantially reduced employee work-related injuries while improving operational profitability.
