Upon completing a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies through American University in 1991 and a JD through the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 1995, Ms. Sexton was admitted to the State Bar of California and began her career as a judicial staff attorney for the Superior Court of California in Riverdale County. Between 1997 and 2000, she researched and prepared opinions for Superior Court judges regarding a wide range of complex legal issues, including but not limited to criminal, probate, civil, family and juvenile law.
Following this post, Ms. Sexton gained valuable expertise in the field as sole practitioner for The Law Office of Robin Boren-Coleman Sexton, and associate attorney for the Law Offices of C.R. Abrams P.C. and The Morgan Law Group. An estate planning professional with more than two and a half decades of practiced industry expertise under her belt, she serves today as Vice President and Senior Estate Advisory Specialist for Wells Fargo Bank. In her dual roles, she leads between 5 and 10 members, including investment managers, administrators, tax specialists and more. As part of the estate settlement team, she also partners with high-net-worth clients, internal wealth management members and local tax and legal professionals to administer complex trusts and estates.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Ms. Sexton aligns herself with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. In conjunction with her work with Wells Fargo, she gives back to others through the Vista Irvine chapter of the National Charity League Inc., the Somerton Homeowners Association, with which she has served in numerous roles, and the Northwood High School PTSA.
In a career that has been filled with highlights, Ms. Sexton is most proud of being honored as a Lawyer of Distinction in Wills and Trust Law in spring 2021 and of raising three wonderful daughters. Within the coming years, she intends to continue her journey in the corporate world. Ms. Sexton's passion for estate planning and administration is evident in the many families she has guided through the years.
