Fascinated by the sciences since his formative years, Mr. Forsee decided to pursue a career in education so that he could make an impact on the next generation of students. Fortunate to have been inspired by a number of great science teachers during his secondary education, he began his career teaching biology at Newport Junior High School in Kentucky. He later found success as a teacher with several public high schools in Council Bluffs, Iowa between 1975 and 2005 before relocating to Omaha, Nebraska in 2005. Mr. Forsee excelled as an educator for another five years at Burke High school prior to his retirement in 2010.

He also published several book reviews on behalf of the National Center for Science Education. Moreover, Mr. Forsee flourished as the science symposium project director for the University of Nebraska and the science symposium associate project director for the Des Moines Area Community College.
Additionally noted for his local political action, Mr. Forsee was notably appointed as the first elector since 1964 to pass the electoral vote for democrats in Nebraska for Barack Obama in 2008. He has likewise served on the central committee of the Sarpy County Democratic Committee in Nebraska since 1985, for which he has been recruited as the treasurer since 1986. Other civic duties to Mr. Forsee's credit have included membership on the religious education committee of the First Unitarian Church in Omaha, the judicial nominating commission of the Juvenile Court of Sarpy County, and, more recently, the governing board of Metropolitan Community College in Omaha.
After obtaining an associate degree at Iowa Community College in 1969, Mr. Forsee earned an undergraduate degree at the University of Northern Iowa in 1972. He subsequently graduated with a Master of Science in biology at the University of Nebraska in 1978. Furthermore, Mr. Forsee has been certified as a permanent professional teacher in Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri and Nebraska.
A prominent member of several notable organizations, Mr. Forsee has been affiliated with the Nebraska State Education Association, the National Science Teachers Association, the National Science Education Association and the Iowa Natural History Association. He has also been active in various capacities for the National Education Association, the Iowa Education Association, the Iowa Academy of Science and the Council of Bluffs Education Association. In 1997, he was presented with an Excellence in Science Teaching Award from the Iowa Academy of Science. A celebrated Marquis listee, Mr. Forsee has been featured in the fourth and eighth editions of Who's Who in American Education and the 23rd edition of Who's Who in the Midwest.
