SERVPRO of Western O'Fallon/Wentzville is a fire, water and mold remediation company that services residential and commercial clients that have suffered damage to their homes or businesses. Employing highly trained technicians, Ms. Young's team is equipped with the technology to restore homes and buildings back to their previous state. Her company also offers various other types of cleaning services, from trauma and crime scenes to vandalism and graffiti to duct cleaning and general cleaning.
Ms. Young formerly spent over two decades in the semi-conductor industry for MEMC. After being laid off, she returned to college and earned an associate's degree in business management. Eight months later she was rehired back by the company as an operator, after being back for two years they began to lay off again. Ms. Young then decided to take a risk and go from an hourly employee with seniority to a salary employee. Ms. Young worked her way up from an operator to a process technician to management in the semi-conductor industry at MEMC. However, seven years into her new role, MEMC began another round of layoffs. Although she was spared this time, the experience inspired her and her husband to take charge of their future by venturing into business for themselves.
As an office manager, Ms. Young is responsible for various aspects of the business, from audits and communicating with insurance companies to handling the accounting procedures and payroll. She also takes a firm approach on ensuring core company values and a good culture among her employees. Working alongside her crewmembers on several occasions, Ms. Young has also been actively involved with clean-ups on remediating damage from water, sewage, fire and Covid cleanings.
Detail oriented, Ms. Young prides herself on fast, reliable and expert service. As the company continues to grow, her priority is to continue building a reputation for providing excellent results. In the coming years, she aspires to expand the scope of her company by purchasing a second franchise. Likewise engaged in a variety of civic and nonprofit organizations, Ms. Young has been active with the O'Fallon and Wentzville Chamber of Commerce. She has also been involved with the police departments and fire departments within her community, as well as fundraising for childhood cancer and continues to be involved within her community in St. Charles, MO.
Ms. Young received an Associate of Science in business management at the University of Phoenix in 2009. She also holds certification in water and fire restoration through the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification. A professional member of the IICRC in support of her career, Ms. Young is also active with Little Black Book and the G3 Business Network International. Recognizing her achievements, she received a Star Business Monthly Award nomination and a Director's Bronze Award from SERVPRO Industries Honors in 2019.
