Over the course of nearly three decades, Ms. MacGregor worked as an educator and served as a teacher in the Napoleon area schools. Additionally, during those years she was a presenter for the Ohio Art Middle School Convention and the Ohio Art Educators Association Convention. Upon retiring, Ms. MacGregor began taking workshops on felting and fell in love with the art form. By 2009, she began instructing national and international workshops in three-dimensional felt forms.
For her professional excellence, Ms. MacGregor has been featured in such publications as the Handweaver Guild of America, Shuttle Spindle and Dyepot Magazine, Felt Matters Magazine, Fiber Arts Now Magazine, Dimensional Cloth by Andra Stanton, Colors of Felt by Ellen Bakker, Felt Fun Magazine, International Felt Associations Magazine as well as Vilt Kontaky Magazine and others. Over the years, she has exhibited her work at numerous exhibits, including HGA's Small Expressions Juried Show, The Morgan Contemporary Tea Pot Invitational Exhibit, The Best Of at the Ohio Designer Craftsmen Museum, Making it in Crafts III National Invitational Show, Ohio Plus 5, Fiber Expression, the Fifth through Eighth Annual Tea Pot Invitationals, Hot Tea at the Wood Symphony Gallery, Folksie Invitational, Felt:Fiber Transformed at the Hunterdon Museum, Craftsforms 2017, and the National Tea Pot Show, as well as many other exhibitions.
An expert in her field, Ms. MacGregor holds a Bachelor of Science in art education through Bowling Green State University. In order to remain aware of ongoing changes in the art form, she aligns herself with the Fiber Forum and the International Feltmakers Association as well as continuing to collaborate with other artists. In light of her outstanding breadth of work, she has been featured in a plethora of publications, and taught felting workshops. Looking toward the future, Ms. MacGregor aims to move to Grand Junction, Colorado, and continue exploring new ideas in her craft, collaborating with other artists and creating exhibition pieces.
