A seasoned professional with a proven record of success in product design, program management, relationship building and more, Mr. Koch excels today as the director of supply chain operations for Hewlett Packard Enterprise, through which he heads the HPE Nimble Storage and Alletra 6000 Supply Chain teams. Previously, he worked with the organization as a senior operations manager and new product introduction and supply chain-engineering manager. Earlier, Mr. Koch gained valuable expertise in the field with Nimble Storage, where he served as a manufacturing engineering manager and manufacturing engineer. Additionally, he has worked as a supply chain consultant with Nike and Nimble Storage.
Over the years, Mr. Koch has earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Boise State University. Likewise, he has been certified in management skills for new managers, and the fundamentals of finance and accounting for non-financial managers through the American Management Association, as well as a certificate in lean fundamentals through Global Six Sigma USA and a Six Sigma Green Belt through Villanova University. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Koch aligns himself with Beta Gamma Sigma and Tau Beta Pi.
For his performance as an athlete, Mr. Koch was named to the First Team All-Academic Western Athletic Conference in 2009 and the First Team All-Academic Mountain West Conference between 2010 and 2012. In 2015, he was also honored with the Operations Excellence Award via Nimble Storage. Among his career accomplishments, he is most proud to have led an integration effort when Nimble Storage was acquired by Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Looking toward the future, Mr. Koch intends to finish his master's degree in new product introduction and supply chain management at the University of Texas at Dallas, and continue to climb the corporate ladder to become a vice president of supply chain.
