Dr. Bharadwaj is actively involved with the American College of Cardiology, where he is part of the national Early Career Leadership Council and chair of the Early Career section of California ACC. Due to his outstanding body of work, he was named a Young Leader in Interventional Cardiology by CRT in 2018 and a Rising Star in Interventional Cardiology through Super Doctors in 2021 in addition to being named a Future Leader by California Chapter of ACC.
Among his career highlights, Dr. Bharadwaj is most proud to have established the complex coronary intervention program at Loma Linda University Health. As a result, it has positioned the hospital as a center for excellence in the treatment of complex coronary disease. Another stand out moment in his career was being one of the first to perform a new technique on a Vietnam War veteran where they inserted a heart support device, the Impella heart assist device, through his axillary artery and performed percutaneous coronary intervention through the same access. The story was published by the University and was then picked up by media outlets around the world. Looking toward the future, Dr. Bharadwaj aims to lead others to new advancements in the field of interventional cardiology and collaborate with other leaders in the field.
