CLEAR LAKE, SD, November 19, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Linda Lea Streiff Bleeker with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Bleeker celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Bleeker is a charge nurse who has been aligned with the Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society since 2020. A compassionate and knowledgeable medical professional, she boasts years of experience in the field. Prior to joining the nonprofit organization, Ms. Bleeker was employed by Sanford Health Ava's Hospice House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, as a registered nurse caring for hospice patients between 2019 and 2020.
Ms. Bleeker also spent much of her time on the road as a traveling nurse working throughout multiple different U.S. states, from California and Arizona, to Minnesota, Iowa and Alaska. Before becoming a registered nurse, she earned credentials in the industry as a nursing assistant. Ms. Bleeker also taught certified nursing assistant courses to various students for several years while living in California.
Having led an incredibly rewarded career, Ms. Bleeker has especially enjoyed her time in hospice care. Though the experience can often be a difficult time for patients and their families, she relishes in keeping patients comfortable and at ease throughout their end of life journey. In the coming years, Ms. Bleeker aspires to delve back into teaching so that she can help new nursing students learn about diabetes.
A native of South Dakota, Ms. Bleeker studied at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, from which she received an Associate of Science in 2009, the same year she became a registered nurse. Shortly thereafter, she acquired a Bachelor of Science in nursing at the University of Phoenix in 2011 and a Master of Science in nursing and diabetes education at Capella University in 2019. To properly align herself in the industry, Ms. Bleeker has stood as a member of the American Nurses Association, the American Nurse Educators Association and the Iowa Association of Nurses.
