DALLAS, TX, November 22, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lloyd Lumpkins has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Lumpkins is the founding architect and owner of L. Lumpkins Architect Inc. Serving clients since 2007, he specializes primarily in providing high-end residential home design services to local leaders and top executives throughout the area. Mr. Lumpkins' extensive portfolio of work, much of which has been inspired by classic influences, has included such popular styles as the Hampton home, as well as various Spanish, French and Italian-inspired estates.
When he begins the design process for his clients, Mr. Lumpkins is diligent about ensuring that their personalities are weaved into the overall look and feel of the home. Homes, he noted, should be a reflection of his clients, their personalities and their families' personalities while also incorporating both elegance and functionality. Mr. Lumpkins finds great joy in being able to provide that specific look and feel in every design, which he also considers as the key to his success throughout the years.
After graduating from college, Mr. Lumpkins initially began his career in education. He subsequently accepted the opportunity to teach abroad at the Universiti Teknologi Mara in Shah Alam, Malaysia. He also taught at the Texas Tech University College of Architecture in Lubbock. Before establishing his own practice, Mr. Lumpkins notably garnered expertise in the field by working for several local architectural firms.
At the age of 10, Mr. Lumpkins sketched house plans and was often captivated by his uncle's drawings, who happened to be an architectural engineer. Fascinated by drawing and drafting courses in secondary school, he eventually realized his dream of pursuing a degree in architecture. Studying at Texas Tech University, Mr. Lumpkins earned both a Bachelor of Architecture in 1984 and a Master of Business Administration in 1985. He is a licensed as an architect and interior designer in the state of Texas as well as an architect in the state of Oklahoma.
Celebrating his success, Mr. Lumpkins was recognized among the Top 19 Architects in Dallas list by Expertise.com and in the Top 10 by Buildzoom in 2021. He was also honored as the Best of Houzz Design. In 2020, he was selected for Best D Home by D Magazine in 2020 and to the BOND Custom Top 100 by North America's Top Luxury Home Architects.
