COSTA MESA, CA, November 23, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nichole Michelle Scott has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Scott is a critical care registered nurse at Hoag Hospital, a nonprofit regional health care delivery network in Newport Beach, California. Specializing in critical care, she is responsible for care and critical care decisions for unstable patients whose conditions can be grim. In addition to caring for her patients, Ms. Scott is active on the Code Blue and Sepsis Rapid Response Teams and, more recently, began assisting patients entering the hospital with COVID-19 symptoms. She is not only a pandemic nurse but a survivor as well. Working her routine 12-hour shift three days per week, she also works extended hours when necessary. Prior to her successful tenure at the hospital, she gained expertise as a travel nurse, providing her services throughout Los Angeles County.
Apart from her paid position, Ms. Scott volunteers her time by giving flu and COVID-19 vaccines to members of the community. She is also the president of the Costa Mesa Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises money to promote various projects throughout the Costa Mesa community and assist other local charities. To support her career, Ms. Scott maintains her affiliation with the Critical Care Nursing Association.
Ms. Scott acquired an associate's degree in nursing in 2006. That same year, she also became a registered nurse. Returning to college, Ms. Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain University in the school of nursing in 2012.
Grateful for the opportunity to work in the health care profession, Ms. Scott hails from a long line of family members who also served in the medical field. Recognizing her dedication, she was notably published in an L.A. Times article, titled 'Salute to Nurses.' The newspaper honored Southern California's frontline workers for their selflessness and bravery in a special section, and paid tribute to the countless health care workers in hospitals and care centers throughout the area.
