Having cultivated a fascination for mathematics and science since childhood, Mr. Waggoner was driven to pursue a career in either architecture or engineering. While he began his career in the field of architectural engineering, he eventually found his way into civil engineering, in which he earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering at Oklahoma State University in 2016. While completing his degree, Mr. Waggoner gained valuable expertise as a technician intern for Garver and as a civil engineer intern for Freese and Nichols.
Drawing on his considerable expertise, Mr. Waggoner excels today as a civil engineer with Freese and Nichols Inc., through which he manages projects in roadway and traffic infrastructure. Driven to remain aware of changes in the field, he maintains his affiliation with the National Society of Professional Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Oklahoma Society of Professional Engineers, where he has served as the secretary and planning coordinator since 2019.
Outside of his primary career endeavors, Mr. Waggoner also lends his support to various community activities and charitable initiatives. He is especially proud to have participated in the emerging leaders class via the National Society of Professional Engineers, where he was one of only 20 individuals to attend. Additionally, he received a nomination for the Young Engineer of the Year Award through the Oklahoma Society of Professional Engineers in 2020. In the coming years, Mr. Waggoner aims to continue his work as an engineer, expand the firm and advance his skills in the field.
