During the early 1990s, Mr. Wheeler fostered a successful career with AT&T. However, on August 31, 1996, he was involved in a bad car accident that broke his neck, and injured his shoulder and back that needed surgical repair. He spent more than a decade recovering from his injuries. Upon his rehabilitation, he realized he could not go back to the job he once had and that he was not financially prepared after his accident. Driven by this realization, Mr. Wheeler became a financial broker and now helps families prepare for the best and worst scenarios in life.
While working as a financial broker, Mr. Wheeler was diagnosed with cancer. He endured radiation treatment with a smile and inspired everyone around him, which encouraged him to write a book and workbook "The Power of Choosing Love, How broken pieces can fit perfectly together," alongside his wife, Tanya Wheeler. Currently Mr. Wheeler mentors married couples, and teaches financial concepts.
An expert in his field, Mr. Wheeler holds a Bachelor of Business Management, a paralegal certificate, and licenses in life, health and accident insurance, as well as through Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System. Additionally, he holds emergency medical technician certification and previously volunteered as an EMT firefighter. Though his career has been filled with highlights, he is most proud to have overcome all obstacles with positivity. In the coming years, Mr. Wheeler intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career.
