Dr. Madubata obtained a Bachelor of Arts in molecular and cellular biology from Harvard University in 2006. He subsequently earned a Doctor of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2010. Soon thereafter, Dr. Madubata completed a residency in internal medicine at Brown University from 2010 to 2013 and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Drexel University in Philadelphia that included training at Hahnemann University Hospital, from 2014 to 2017.
Dr. Madubata served as a hospitalist at Rhode Island Hospital from 2013 to 2014 and a staff cardiologist at Hahnemann University Hospital from 2017 to 2019. Since 2019, he has practiced as a staff cardiologist at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. In addition, he has been active as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University since 2020. Dr. Madubata is also certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease as well as in nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and cardiac computed tomography.
Dr, Madubata is affiliated with the American Medical Association, the Association of Black Cardiologists and the American Heart Association. He is also acknowledged as a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. In what he considers to be a career highlight, he was a recipient of a Teaching Award from the Division of Cardiology at Drexel University College of Medicine in 2019. Dr. Madubata previously accepted an Exceptional Research Opportunities Program Award from Howard Hughes Medical Institute in 2005 for research into HIV treatments.
Dr. Madubata attributes his success to his desire and passion to help others as well as incredible support from his family. He also hopes to inspire the next generation of physicians of color in general. In his younger years, Dr. Madubata was drawn to the field of cardiology out of a curiosity regarding how the heart works and the fact that heart disease affects many people in various ways, ultimately desiring to medically help as many people as possible through the continuous scientific advances in cardiology.
