ELIZABETH, CO, December 13, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David M. Hager has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected based on current reference value. A leader in his field. Mr. Hager has excelled as a security executive, a security evangelist and the senior security manager of compliance and privacy for Teradata since 2015, as well as the owner and CEO of the Business Risk Management Group since 2004. He previously found success as the managing principal and practice director for ArcSight Inc. In 2001, he was the senior manager and enterprise security architect of Unisys where he led a team to build from scratch security architecture for Call State University and the Business Continuity plan for Microsoft Windows Live. He was the President and CEO for NetRat Software. After retiring from the USAF he joined GE Aircraft Engines as the head of Proprietary Security for this large company.
With a plethora of knowledge at his disposal, he created an information security program for the government of Israel in 1989, a feat for which he later received an award. Later while the executive was in charge of Internal Security at this large DOE facility near Boulder, CO, he hosted a large Russian contingency at the site and was provided a reminder card from Leslie Stahl after her visit to the plant. This card was entitled "I gave 60 Minutes 48 Hours." In 1997, Mr. Hager was the first CISO for the Coors Brewing Company in Golden, CO.
In order to prepare for his career, he pursued and education at Marshall University, and later the University of the State of New York where he graduated with an Associate in Science degree in 1978. He also graduated from the University of the State of New York with a Degree in Security Administration and Mr. Hager earned a Master of Science in scientific investigations from Air University, which is located at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama, in the same year.
From 1978 to 1989, Mr. Hager served as a criminal and counterintelligence investigator and a polygraph examiner for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. A speaker in his field, he has authored numerus articles published in professional journals, including CISO Magazine, Security Management Magazine, and I Source Magazine for Supply Chain Management.
On 9/11 he was the VP in charge of Business Continuity for OppenheimerFunds. Based on the plans he developed and integrated into the company, after the fall of Tower II, OppenheimerFunds was in operation with all mission critical activities operational within 3.5 hours. This was a phenomenal accomplishment and based on his hard work, he was one of the first security professionals selected to receive Computer World's top 100 Premier IT Leaders.
