SHELTON, CT, December 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lisa M. Lanni has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Ms. Lanni is the Head of School of Holy Trinity Catholic Academy (HTCA), a private school in Shelton, Connecticut, that serves students in pre-kindergarten classes through to grade eight. Accepting her position in 2018, she originally hailed from Saint Joseph's School, Danbury, CT, where she spent more than a decade in the same role. Highly dedicated to her field, Ms. Lanni has been serving in the capacity of a principal since the age of 29.
Following in the school's mission, which is grounded in Christian faith, Ms. Lanni is responsible for the infusion of a Catholic identity. A supportive leader and colleague, she is also involved in the development of curriculum, the implementation of technology, fiscal planning and other financial objectives. Additionally, Ms. Lanni works diligently to ensure a viable, sustainable and vibrant community on the HTCA campus.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Ms. Lanni has focused on ways in which to provide a safe environment for both students and staff, while also ensuring that students can remain in person for the best possible learning environment. During 2020, she was able to do both, and it is her hope that they will continue moving in the right direction. She has also begun implementing special enrichment classes again, giving everyone a sense of normalcy. HTCA notably offers various academic programs, which follow curriculum standards set forth by the Diocese of Bridgeport, as well as numerous athletic programs, including basketball, cheerleading, cross-country, golf and tennis.
Ms. Lanni's involvement in education has also included providing her expertise to the Danbury High School, where she is now an emeritus board director. As a testament to her dedication to the field, Ms. Lanni is also a member of the National Catholic Educational Association, as well as a commissioner of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
Ms. Lanni became involved in her profession in thankgiving to the various mentors and teachers she was fortunate to have been surrounded while coming of age. Highly educated, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Special Education at Manhattan College, followed by a Master of Science in Special Education at Fordham University and a second Master of Science in Religious Studies at the Institute of Religious Studies. Furthermore, Ms. Lanni completed all but her dissertation in Church Leadership at Fordham University. Honoring her achievements, she was named to the Our Lady of Good Counsel Hall of Fame in White Plains, New York.
