EUGENE, OR, December 20, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Linda K. Thompson has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Ms. Thompson was inspired to pursue a career in education by her daughter. She discovered that raising a daughter with autism, though difficult at times, has been a beautiful experience that has allowed her to develop special skills needed to care for her daughter's unique needs. From 1986 to 2005, Ms. Thompson excelled as a preschool teacher in an early education program in Eugene.
In 2009, Ms. Thompson adjusted her career path and became a speech language pathologist at the Valley West Health Care Center. She subsequently obtained a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Oregon in 2007 and 2009, respectively. Ms. Thompson additionally earned her certification in clinical speech-language pathology.
Ms. Thompson has found success as a speech language pathologist at Infinity Rehab since 2013. In this position, she works with individuals who have suffered strokes and have difficulty speaking, Dysphagia patients and several patients who need help with cognitive abilities such as memory skills. She is also active as a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Attributing her success to her husband's encouragement and support, Ms. Thompson intends to continue to operate as a role model for women who have experienced struggles similar to hers in the coming years.
