KERRVILLE, TX, December 22, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ashlea A. Boyle has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Boyle, having served as the director of parks and recreation for the City of Kerrville, Texas, since 2017, was previously employed by the city as a manager for almost a decade. In her current position, she manages more than 25 parks and 50 full-time staff members, as well as a $4 million budget, which she prepares and reviews annually. Likewise, Ms. Boyle personally conducts check-ups of parks and facilities, assists staff members in the development of various programs and, among other responsibilities, actively engages with community members.
Under her supervision, Ms. Boyle has greatly improved divisional programming. She has also witnessed a considerable influx in communication engagement activities throughout the course of her tenure, much of which can be traced back to her marketing, promotions and branding efforts. Additionally, Ms. Boyle has been involved in Kerrville 2050, a new comprehensive planning process the department launched several years ago.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Boyle hopes to become an executive director for the City of Kerrville one day. Outside of her work in Kerrville, she is a certified lifeguard instructor through the International Lifeguard Training Program. She has served as a coach on behalf of several lifeguards in the area for over five years, who have won four out of five state lifeguard competitions. Ms. Boyle also spent four years as an aquatics program supervisor for the City of New Braunfels, Texas, from 2004 to 2008.
Civically, Ms. Boyle enjoys participating in outdoor recreation. Through the City of Kerrville, she has also contributed to numerous community activities. Ms. Boyle was recognized with a Top 40 Award for Outstanding Performance in Community Engagement, Tourism and Economic Development by the Kerrville Economic Development Corporation in 2021.
Ms. Boyle holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Texas State University. She also attended the Rocky Mountain Revenue Management School through the Colorado Parks and Recreation Association, and completed a basic economic development course at Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. Ms. Boyle is a certified park and recreation professional through the National Recreation and Park Association. She was accepted to the University of Texas-Arlington to pursue a master of public administration program, but is also considering its master of business administration program.
