PUYALLUP, WA, December 23, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ming C. Hsiao, ARNP, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Hsiao earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Washington in 2009, after which he attained a Master of Science in Nursing as an adult gerontology and cardiology nurse practitioner from Duke University in 2013. While pursuing his nursing degree, he worked as a cardiopulmonary research assistant and a psychiatric ICU certified nursing assistant at Harborview Medical Center. After attaining his BSN, he worked as a registered nurse for the Franciscan Health System and eventually for Duke University Health System as a cardiac ICU registered nurse and as a clinical research nurse for the Duke Translational Nursing Institute conducting research trials in heart disease patients. Since graduating from training, Mr. Hsiao has worked as an advanced registered nurse practitioner at the Pulse Heart Institute MultiCare Health System.
A member of the Heart Failure Society of America, American College of Cardiology and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Mr. Hsiao is responsible for managing patients afflicted with acute heart disease conditions such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, or arrhythmias. He is also involved in setting up a pulmonary hypertension program for the practice that specifically focuses on patients with high pulmonary pressures in their lungs. Noting that patients with pulmonarv hypertension tend to experience right heart failure issues, Mr. Hsiao devised the aforementioned program specifically to fulfill a previously unmet clinical need.
In Mr. Hsiao's current capacity, he works in both inpatient hospital and outpatient clinical settings. Focusing much of his time on caring for the needs of cardiology patients, from initial diagnosis to end-stage care, he also works diligently to prevent readmission for chronic heart failure disease conditions. Furthermore, Mr. Hsiao assists patients who experience end stage heart failure conditions to be evaluated for heart transplant, left ventricular assist device (LVAD).
Caring deeply for patients throughout the treatment process, Mr. Hsiao is proud to have attained a deeper understanding of how heart disease has affected them. In this capacity, he strives to serve as a source of support while they struggle to overcome their afflictions. Outside of his primary career endeavors, Mr. Hsiao enjoys being in the outdoors, learning new culinary dishes but also enjoys volunteering for the community at the Tacoma Rescue Mission, having long dedicated much of his free time to volunteering at orphanages and other charitable endeavors in the past.
