In the course of her professional healing career, however, she observed how she and her contemporaries struggled with financial management and came to the belief that real estate would provide the solution. Ms. Marquardt's previous experience recruiting engineers for Fortune 500 Companies developed her matchmaking skill set, which proved useful to her newfound career of pairing people with their dream houses.
Over the years, Ms. Marquardt also gained valuable expertise as an account executive for a professional search company, as well as through several certifications, including an At Home With Diversity certification through the National Association of Realtors, a Hypnotherapy license and a Massage Therapist and Natural Health Educator certificate. Supported by her vast breadth of expertise, she has excelled over the last 20 years as a real estate broker for John L. Scott Real Estate Port Townsend. In light of her professional achievements, Ms. Marquardt has received a commendation for founding the Heart to Hearth Program and a Community Service Award through the Jefferson County Association of Realtors, and was featured in the Realtor Magazine, which is the official publication of the National Association of Realtors.
Alongside her work in the field, Ms. Marquardt contributes through non profit agencies in Port Townsend and several community events. Among her accomplishments, she is most proud of her volunteerism, particularly when she created Heart to Hearth, a firewood program sponsored by the Olympic Peninsula Community Action Program. Looking toward the future, Ms. Marquardt aims to retire and become involved with affordable housing projects, particularly on behalf of those who are homeless, low income or otherwise unable to afford a new home in these days of rising prices.
