Mr. McGrath aligns himself with the American Society of Civil Engineers.
WHITEHALL, NY, December 24, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Shaun McGrath has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Upon earning a Bachelor of Science in mathematical physics from St. John's University in 2001, Mr. McGrath began working as a laboratory supervisor and surveyor with Sidney B. Bowne & Son, where he remained while pursuing further studies. In 2005, he graduated from Cornell University with a master's degree in structural engineering and joined Walter P. Moore, where he worked for the following three years. During that time, Mr. McGrath also excelled as a tryout coordinator and tournament director for State Ware Hockey.
Over the years, Mr. McGrath gained valuable expertise as a project engineer for Perini Building Company, a race director for the Silverman Triathlon, a field engineer for Tutor Perini Corporation, a course director for Ironman and the director of structural engineering for D&B Engineers & Architects. In this last capacity, he maintained responsibility for the analysis and design of structural elements for various civil and environmental engineering projects in New York City. Recently, between 2013 and 2020, Mr. McGrath also excelled as the founder, owner and structural engineer for MachineWorks Engineering.
Drawing on his breadth of knowledge, Mr. McGrath serves today as a disaster recovery specialist III for IEM. Throughout the course of his career, he has expanded upon his expertise by becoming a concrete special inspector through the American Concrete Institute, a professional engineer in New York State, a certified construction manager via the Construction Management Association of America and a certified floodplain manager through the Association of State Floodplain Managers Inc.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. McGrath aligns himself with the American Society of Civil Engineers. Outside of his work, he contributes as a fundraiser and athlete/hero for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and as a board member of the Buildings & Grounds Committee for Archbishop Molloy High School. Looking toward the future, Mr. McGrath intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career.
