LINCOLN, NE, December 27, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Wayne B. Roelle has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Roelle pursued a higher education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, from which he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1955 and a Master of Engineering in 1968. From 1957 to 1975, he worked as the chief electrical engineer with the Nebraska Public Power District, the largest electric utility in the state of Nebraska. Mr. Roelle subsequently excelled as a senior electrical engineer with Olsson Associates from 1975 to 2012, a premier engineering and design firm in Lincoln.
Throughout his career, Mr. Roelle has been responsible for the design of distribution and subtransmission of high-voltage and extra high-voltage transmission systems, fault current and stability studies, and the preparation of plans and specifications, among other design criteria. He has likewise prepared budget estimates and recommended system expansion plans for short and long-range capital improvement budgets and has conducted retail electrical rate studies for municipal clients. Mr. Roelle has further served as an electrical power design engineer for diesel engine generators in Horton, Kansas and Nebraska City, David City and Wayne, Nebraska, many of which also included the installation of step-up transformers and engine and generator control panels.
Moreover, Mr. Roelle has coordinated the design and installation of power distribution lines and systems in Fairbury, Waverly and Chadron, Nebraska. Having also made an impact designing and coordinating substation projects in Auburn, Kimball, Sidney and Minden, he has proudly engineered miles of transmission lines throughout Nebraska. Mr. Roelle assisted a Nebraska municipal utility to acquire and install surplus auxiliary generators from the dismantling of the Shoreham Nuclear Power Plant in Long Island, NY.
Mr. Roelle is notably affiliated with the Nebraska Society of Professional Engineers, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the Power Engineering Society, Eta Kappa Nu and Tau Beta Pi Electrical Engineering Societies, the American Public Power Association and the National Society of Professional Engineers. He has attributed his success to the influence and encouragement of his parents. Since 2012, Mr. Roelle has been enjoying his well-deserved retirement from his field.
