Since 2014, Dr. Sundaram has found success as a physician and family medicine specialist for teenagers, adults and senior citizens. She currently serves as a primary care outpatient physician with Mountainside Medical Group. From 2018 to 2020, Dr. Sundaram furthered her practice expertise at Care Station Medical Group. During this period, she was the only female provider within her group who actively tested, treated and guided more than 50 patients a day at a COVID-19 clinic during the global pandemic.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in biology at the University of California Irvine, Dr. Sundaram earned a Doctor of Medicine at St. George's University School of Medicine. She subsequently completed a family medicine residency at Southern Regional Area Health Education Center, which is an affiliate of the Duke University Medical Center. During this period, Dr. Sundaram was selected to participate in the Duke University Clinical Leadership program, which enabled her to develop a firm knowledge of medical accounting, quality improvement projects and various models of emerging health care practices. She has maintained her affiliation with the American Academy of Family Physicians for more than 10 years.
Alongside her responsibilities as a physician, Dr. Sundaram participates in community outreach programs designed to educate the population on common health care concerns.
