SCOTT, LA, January 04, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Landry Carbo has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Carbo is the director of purchasing for System Services Pipeline LLC. Headquartered in Scott, Louisiana, with several other offices throughout Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee, his family-owned-and-operated company has been in business since 1987. Originally specializing in CATV, the System Services later expanded in 2001 to include various additional services. An expert in financial forecasting, Mr. Carbo oversees budgetary concerns, digital business and, among other responsibilities, supports operations by ensuring that all employees have the tools they need for success. Since joining his father's company, he has grown the division from approximately 40 to nearly 100 talented employees. Mr. Carbo aspires to continue expanding the scope of the company by branching out into additional states in the coming years.
Initially gaining expertise as a splicing intern for Fiber One Inc. in 2007, an optical engineering intern for Optical Mechanics Inc. in 2009, and a general engineering intern for System Services Broadband in 2010, Mr. Carbo subsequently held several leading roles. Among them, he was a communications and operations team lead for High Altitude Solutions during 2011 and an M/LWD field engineer for Schlumberger from 2012 to 2015. Mr. Carbo also interned in international operations for The Wendy's Company during 2016.
Mr. Carbo attributes much of his success to hard work, diligence and perseverance. He enjoys taking on challenging projects that stimulate his mind and finds great benefit in collaborating with his team, through whom he finds additional insight and support. Among his civic interests, Mr. Carbo is a board member for Foster the Love in Louisiana. The nonprofit organization helps support children in the foster care system throughout the state, as well as the families that care for them.
Mr. Carbo received a bachelor's degree in optical engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2010, a master's degree in space engineering at the University Michigan in 2011, and a Master of Business Administration in logistics, materials and supply chain management at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in 2017. He holds certifications in excel data analysis and forecasting and completed Tropical Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training. As a testament to his success, Mr. Carbo has been a finalist in the JPL Mission Design Challenge and was recognized as a NextGens to Watch.
