Prior to forming Megan Miller Marketing LLC, Ms. Miller maintained involvement as the marketing director for Opera Carolina and is also the founder of Opera Recycles, an environmental sustainability program that turns old print collateral into Couture Fashions. Launched in 2015, Opera Recycles debuted in New York City at New York Fashion Week in October 2016. She returned in 2017, producing her own fashion week show with 13 new Opera Recycles Fashions. This program will continue to inspire those around the world with its first international appearance during Paris Fashion Week in March of 2019.
Civically engaged as well, Ms. Miller has volunteered her time to the Pediatric Cancer Foundation and as a heart walk volunteer for the American Heart Association. She has also served on behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and provided her expertise as a brand marketing specialist for the Denyce Graves Foundation.
Ms. Miller prepared for her career by attaining a Bachelor of Science in marketing, with a minor in voice performance, at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Highlighting her achievements, she was named to the Charlotte Business Journal's People on the Move list for 2015 and, that same year, received a Women's Achievement Award of Excellence from the National Association of Professional Women. She was subsequently recognized as a Charlotte STANDOUT for her work with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in 2017. More recently, Ms. Miller was named to the Top 30 Entrepreneurs to Look Out For list by Disruptors Magazine in 2020.
