Specializing in developing various skincare, food supplement and pharmaceutical products, he has distinguished himself as an expert and innovator in product development for more than three decades. Among his many products, Dr. Park has played a role in the creation of ATOPALM, a skin barrier formular that replenishes hydration, as well as Real Barrier, CURECODE, NEUROMIDE, and ZEROID.
Prior to forming his two North American-based companies, Dr. Park founded NeoPharm Co. Ltd. in 2000. The Korea-based business became well known for developing four different product lines that incorporate skin barrier technology, providing maximum protection from outdoor elements such as allergen and harsh, dry conditions. During an earlier stage of his career, Dr. Park served as a senior researcher at the Aekyung Central Research Center. He was also a postdoctoral associate at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, in the department of chemistry, and a research fellow with the Industrial Research Foundation.
Dr. Park has been involved with numerous research initiatives in his industry and looks forward to taking on new projects as they become available. Some of his research has notably been based on the skin-brain correlation in autism spectrum disorder and Alzheimer disease. He has also secured over 50 patents during his tenure in his field and has contributed over 50 scholarly articles on his dermatological research. Furthermore, Dr. Park has authored four books, including his memoir, "A Quest for Healing," where he shares anecdotes from his life while growing up in Korea, his culture, society and the academic expectations that he experienced.
A graduate of Seoul National University, Dr. Park earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical technology in 1988, followed by a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in organic synthesis and chemical technology in 1990 and 1994, respectively. He is a former vice chairman of the Korean Society for Skin Barrier Research. Furthermore, Dr. Park has been the recipient of several accolades, including a Superiority Prize from New Tech Korea in 1999, a Korean Excellence Award in 1999 and an Excellence Award from Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency in 2005.
