ATLANTA, GA, January 06, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Patricia Kelly Marsh, MD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Marsh earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Swarthmore College in 2008 and went on to attain a Doctor of Medicine from the Temple University School of Medicine in 2014. She subsequently undertook a residency in Family Medicine at White Memorial Medical Center from 2014 to 2017. Well qualified in her field, Dr. Marsh holds medical licenses in California and Georgia.
Dr. Marsh began her career as a research specialist for the Emory University School of Medicine in 2008. Following her graduation from residency, she worked as a Family Medicine physician for Kaiser Permanente from 2018 to 2021. Dr. Marsh is the chief executive officer and cofounder of Ask Me, Your MD LLC. In this role, Dr. Marsh is responsible for providing a patient advocacy platform that allows direct access to physicians to answer medical questions.
As part of her dedication to diversity in her field, Dr. Marsh is the chairperson for the health committee of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. – Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter. She is also a member of the American Medical Association, the Georgia Family Practitioners Association and the American Board of Family Medicine. Well regarded for her accomplishments, she was named as the new member of the year by the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. – Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter in 2019. In recognition of her hard work and dedication as a physician, Dr. Marsh was honored with a Physician Access Award and a Star Physician Communication Award from Kaiser Permanente in 2020.
In addition to her career, Dr. Marsh continues to contribute research toward the advancement of her field. To wit, she served as a co-author for an article in the Journal of Gerontology in 2009 and authored medical abstracts in 2004 and 2007. Dr. Marsh was also named as a finalist for the David Lawrence Community Service Award by Kaiser Permanente in 2021.
Dr. Marsh was inspired to become a doctor in honor of her late mother, who was a nurse in her own right. Committed to learning as a lifelong endeavor, she was particularly interested in becoming an academic physician. She is an associate professor at Morehouse School of Medicine, teaching while also caring for patients at the H.E.A.L. Clinic. Dr. Marsh plans to build up Ask Me, Your MD LLC as an essential service for both patients and medical professionals.
