An avid motorcyclist, Ms. Lundquist was one of 10 people appointed to the Federal Highway Administration's motorcyclist advisory council from 2017 to 2019.

After years of working at home as a full-time parent, Ms. Lundquist obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Civil Engineering from the Cockrell School of Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin in 1996. She was initially interested in pursuing drafting, engineering and construction during her high school studies. After serving as a product manager designing architectural precast cladding for office complexes, buildings, building expansions and parking garages for Coreslab Structures from 1997 to 2001, Ms. Lundquist shifted her focus toward a career in transportation.
Since 2001, Ms. Lundquist has excelled as a transportation engineer and currently serves as the Statewide Value Engineering Program Manager with the Texas Department of Transportation in Austin. In these positions, her responsibilities include the research and composition of technical specifications, reviewing preliminary schematics and plans, advising two major strategic comprehensive development agreement projects in the El Paso and Houston metropolitan areas and writing documents listing energy sector impacts to roadways approved by the Texas Transportation Commission. Ms. Lundquist attributes her success to her passion, dedication and love for her work.
An avid motorcyclist, Ms. Lundquist was one of 10 people appointed to the Federal Highway Administration's motorcyclist advisory council from 2017 to 2019, which provided a final report of guidance to roadway construction and design to make motorcycling safer. Under the sponsorship of the United States Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration, the Texas Transportation Institute (TTI) formed a task force to which she was recruited. Ms. Lundquist and the aforementioned task force eventually published their findings through "Addressing the Motorcyclist Advisory Council Recommendations: Synthesis on Roadway Geometry, Pavement Design, and Pavement Construction and Maintenance Practices."
Ms. Lundquist considers her most notable achievement to have been her involvement in the reconstruction of the Interstate Highway 35 corridor through Central Texas with a greater than $8 billion budget. Moreover, she was acknowledged as a major participant in the evaluation and design of the multiple projects. In the coming years, Ms. Lundquist hopes to continue her stellar efforts with the Texas Department of Transportation as a transportation engineer while devoting her attention to bettering the program and recruiting younger people.
