After receiving a Bachelor of Science in business administration and industrial management from Villanova University, Mr. Fichera began his career with Catalytic Inc., where he worked for several years before switching directions. After resolving to specialize in legal service, he attended law school, and soon earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the School of Law at Widener University. Upon receiving his first admission to practice law, Mr. Fichera notably became the first lawyer in his family.
Mr. Fichera has been admitted before the State of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as the Supreme Court of the United States, the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the Third Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals, the U.S. Federal District Courts of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. Presently, he works in private practice in Sewell, New Jersey. Throughout his career, Mr. Fichera is most proud of the first jury trial in which he obtained a jury verdict over Exxon Corporation. He successfully argued a social security disability appeal and appeared before the Third Circuit in 2000, and represents veterans before the Department of Veterans Affairs and on appeal to the Federal Courts.
Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Fichera has attributed his professional success to his initiative as well as help from other attorneys. He maintains his affiliation with the the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Gloucester County Bar Association, the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives and the National Organization of Veteran's Advocates. He serves as chairman for Veterans Referral Service for Gloucester County, and has been a member of New Jersey State Mock Trial Committee since 1994 in which he has been an attorney-coach for his own high school team and now serves as County Coordinator for the Mock Trial Program. Looking toward the future, Mr. Fichera plans to scale down and work toward his eventual retirement.
