Having invested much of her time in various businesses throughout her career, Ms. Kaur has worked as the co-owner and operations director of the Meadow Club since 2012. Boasting a banquet room that can accommodate small and large parties, including birthday parties, weddings, and corporate events, the Club also offers an onsite event planning service. Additionally, the Meadow Club collaborates with two different food venues, the Curry Club of East Setauket and SaGhar Indian Fusion Restobar in Port Jefferson.
Ms. Kaur was entrusted to take on her position because of her previous experiences in hospitality as an employee of Hilton Hotels and as a financial advisor for two different organizations. Unfortunately, the Meadow Club suffered a devastating fire in 2019. Despite the tragedy, Ms. Kaur was determined to reopen the catering hall as soon as possible, which was fully renovated and has begun to thrive once more.
An experienced entrepreneur, Ms. Kaur formerly owned her own construction company, where she served as a general contractor. She also spent seven years as a nutritional technician at Saint Francis Hospital in Pennsylvania. Committed to various community initiatives, Ms. Kaur has been active as a board member for Stony Brook University's art and music department and currently sponsors foreign films for local communities. She was also involved with three local chamber of commerce locations in Port Jefferson, New York, for approximately 10 years.
In addition to overseeing the family business, Ms. Kaur maintains her own holistic practice, through which she teaches meditation and yoga classes and offers Shirodhara therapy, which is a form of Ayurveda therapy. A skilled practitioner, she helps clients achieve balance between their mental and physical health. Ms. Kaur is also recognized as an international ayurvedic panchakarma practitioner.
To support her work, Ms. Kaur is a professional member of the Hauppauge Industrial Association, the International Women in Business and the Suffolk County Women's Business Enterprise Coalition. The Meadow Club is also affiliated as a member of the Wedding and Party Network. In 2019, the Meadow Club was recognized as the Best of the Best by the Wedding and Party Network. The business was also featured in the Knot. Ms. Kaur was named Person of the Year, and Woman of the Year in Business.
