Mr. Tidd, chief sales officer for Becker Global America in Bristol, Virginia, has been serving in his position since 2015. Managing all the company's sales and marketing for North and South America, as well as a $40 million budget, he is also involved in direct selling and, among other responsibilities, oversees approximately 65 employees. Additionally, he serves an instrumental role on the company's board of directors.
In his current position, Mr. Tidd has led over $260 million in sales, expanding new business in more than 10 countries and across five continents. Next year, he plans to become more involved in several other new markets and branch out into the telecommunications industry. Mr. Tidd believes that his efforts can potentially increase sales by approximately $20 million in the next three to five years.
Becker Global America has been in business for more than 50 years and serves as a leading electrical and communications manufacturer in mining, data centers, tunneling and traction power. Employed with the organization since 2011, Mr. Tidd was originally hired as a components sales manager, where he oversaw the components sales division and successfully increased sales through various strategies, including market expansion, residual orders, direct relationship building and distribution channels. Mr. Tidd was then promoted to director of sales and marketing from 2013 to 2015, where he focused on planning and implementing sales, marketing and product development programs. He also spent three years with Becker/SMC as an equipment sales representative from 2008 to 2011.
In addition to his current responsibilities at Becker, Mr. Tidd is a fitness coach. He currently has several online fitness clients and plans to release an online fitness course in January 2022. Mr. Tidd received a Bachelor of Business Administration in business, management, marketing and related support services from Marshall University in 2010. One year later, he achieved a Master of Business Administration at the University of Charleston in 2011.
To support his career, Mr. Tidd is a professional member of the West Virginia Coal Association and the American Public Transportation Association.
