Mr. Moore is the owner of Oak Park Estates, Assisted Living and Memory Care, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, an assisted living and memory care home that was established in 2020. Mr. Moore's team routinely goes above and beyond to make residents feel relaxed, safe and happy, while enjoying many accommodations and planned activities.
Mr. Moore transitioned into the field of senior care after eight years of working in road construction for his family business. Leaving the company to become more involved in real estate in 2012, he began purchasing foreclosed properties and renting them to organizations that serve people living with disabilities. After a time, Mr. Moore was introduced to the field of assisted living homes by a man who owned several such facilities in Arizona. Recognizing the level of care such residents could receive, he realized his own community could stand to benefit and resolved to pursue ownership accordingly.
Involved in various civic and nonprofit organizations, Mr. Moore is currently active with Leader of the Valley, House of Hope. He is also a member of Grow Cedar Valley, a nonprofit organization in Waterloo, Iowa, that functions to bring businesses and communities throughout Cedar Valley together for better economic development opportunities. Mr. Moore also recently co-authored his first book, titled "The One Thing That Changed Everything."
Mr. Moore holds an Associate of Arts in liberal arts from Iowa Central Community College. He also completed coursework at the University of Northern Iowa and holds a certification from the Residential Assisted Living Academy. Learning the value of hard work from his family, Mr. Moore continues to strive for excellence. In addition to owning and operating the Oak Park facility, he renovates and sell homes around the Waterloo and Cedar Falls region. Making a difference in those communities have been instrumental to his well-being, as well as to those he serves. Mr. Moore had AML leukemia twice (at ages 23 and 25); he hopes this knowledge can inspire someone possibly going through some hard times.
