SAN PEDRO, CA, January 25, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Ms. Kathleen Daniels with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Daniels celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
In 1967, Ms. Daniels graduated from Wayne State University with a BA in Environmental Design. She continued her studies at UCLA after moving to Los Angeles in 1967. Her determination and mission in life was to make the world a better place through her professional and philanthropic work. Between 1985 and 1988, Ms. Daniels worked as a photographic artist rep for Jana Taylor & Co. where her inspiration and love for photography bore fruit. She co-founded the nonprofit The American Child Foundation utilizing photography as a tool to provide underprivileged children with an appreciation for, and knowledge about, the photographic arts. She was able to share her love of photography and developed classes for underprivileged children at Para Los Ninos Day Care Center in the skid row area of Los Angeles. The students found beauty in their environment and the people around them through photography which ultimately led to a museum exhibit at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art featuring the children's work. The program was endorsed by Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley. Ms. Daniels, a strong proponent of early education continued to create new and equally wonderful children's programs garnering the support of such corporate sponsors as Kodak, Nikon, Coca-Cola and Guess? Jeans. She realized just how very important it was to start early with our greatest resource – the precious children of our planet.
Ms. Daniels served as the executive director of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (CAI) from 1989-2000. CAI is a national non-profit association representing 205,000 community associations. Her achievements as executive director include initiating the Adopt-A-Library program, donating a collection of books and publications to local Los Angeles libraries. The program provided a flow of information and raised public awareness about the Community Associations Industry. As the executive director, Ms. Daniels is credited with tripling membership within three years and revitalizing a small struggling chapter into one of the largest, fastest growing among 56 chapters nationally. She was singled out by CAI as Executive Director of the Year in 1992 for her outstanding commitment to excellence, professionalism and service. First of only two Executive Directors in 1994 to be inducted into the CAI Executive Director Hall of Fame, which honors Executive Directors who consistently achieve a high level of performance. From 2003 to 2012, Ms. Daniels served as an interior plantscaper and owner of Ms. Green Thumb, offering a full range of interior green plant design and maintenance services for both business and home. Since 2004, she has been the owner of Let's Get Organized and KD Enterprises Co., a woman-owned business specializing in accounting and organizing services, as well as full-service professional office assistance for celebrity clients, entrepreneurs, individuals, non-profit organizations, seniors and small businesses. As the owner and operator of two very diverse businesses she decided to close the doors on the green plant business in 2012 and focus solely on growing the accounting business.
