BALTIMORE, MD, January 25, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Juliet I. Madubata has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Upon earning an accounting degree in the U.S.A in the mid-1980s, Dr. Madubata taught accounting for the City of New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Madubata also obtained a Master of Business Administration in accounting from the University of the District of Columbia. She subsequently gained valuable expertise in the field of nursing as a medical-surgical nurse, long-term care staff nurse, nurse manager, assistant director of nursing, director of quality assurance and infection control, director of continuous quality improvement, director of staff development, and director of nursing. Additionally, Dr. Madubata worked as a nurse educator for the practical nursing department at the University of the District of Columbia. Dr. Madubata volunteered as a peer reviewer for the American Society on Aging and the Gerontological Society of America.
Throughout her career, Dr. Madubata has accrued a Bachelor of Science in nursing as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in public policy and administration with a concentration in organizational leadership at Walden University. She is also a licensed nursing home administrator, a registered nurse, nurse-executive board-certified, and a certified hospice and palliative nurse. Drawing upon her considerable knowledge, Dr. Madubata currently excels as a nurse officer of the day for the VA Maryland Health Care System, for which she oversees all operations of the nursing department during her tour, including the long-term care, rehab, hospice, and dementia and memory care units.
In order to remain aware of developments in the field, Dr. Madubata has been affiliated with the Healthcare and Aging Network and the diversity and inclusion committees of the American Society on Aging. For her outstanding body of work, she was presented with the Excellent Nursing Award from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in 2020. Although her career has been filled with highlights, she is incredibly proud of getting her license as a nursing home administrator, which allowed her to utilize her skills in the areas of quality assurance and improvement regarding residents care. In the near future, Dr. Madubata would like to return to the field of education and teach more nursing professionals.
