For more than 10 years, Dr. Wilson has thrived as an associate professor of mathematics at Biola University. With over two decades of academic experience to his credit, he teaches a variety of courses related to probability, business statistics and biostatistics. Alongside his responsibilities as an educator, Dr. Wilson has served as the chairperson of the mathematics and computer science department at Biola University since 2017.
In 2019, Dr. Wilson established Biola University's quantitative consulting center, which has since provided statistical consulting services for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Christian Educators Association International and numerous Biola University faculty members. The following year, he secured a patent for a highly advanced technique for evaluating the quality of an individual baseball pitch. In order to remain up to date with the latest developments in his field, Dr. Wilson maintains active affiliations with the American Statistical Association, the Association of Christians in the Mathematical Sciences and International Christian Statisticians, which appointed him as the chairperson from 2016 until 2019.
In 2018, Dr. Wilson was selected for Biola University's Provost Faculty Award for Excellence and Biblical Integration. He attributes a great deal of his success to his Christian faith, as well as the support of his wife and daughters.
