Prior to embarking on his entrepreneurial career, Mr. Mummaw excelled as a regional manager and engineer in the fire sprinkler industry for 16 years. He established Triple R. Specialty in 1986 with the goal of designing a series of new products to better suit the needs of piping professionals. In a matter of years, Mr. Mummaw designed and patented the Tru-Drill, which is a portable drill press that cuts holes in mechanical pipes, and a portable grooving machine that grooves the end of a pipe allowing grooved couplings and fittings to be installed and as a result decreasing installation time.
Alongside his professional responsibilities, Mr. Mummaw serves as an active member of the American Fire Sprinkler Association and frequently contributes to the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation, and the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches.
