NIAGARA FALLS, CANADA, January 28, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mark William MacLeod has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. MacLeod is the vice president and sales manager of Niagara Rigging and Erecting Company Ltd (NRE), a company based in Thorold, Ontario, Canada. Established by his parents, Bill and Linda MacLeod, in 1988, NRE is comprised of a talented team of engineers, steel fabricators, designers, and unionized iron workers and crane operators that work closely with clients to build complex steel buildings, bridges and other construction projects. The company also specializes in fabrication, design and lift planning.
Promoted to the role of vice president in 2012, Mr. MacLeod originally joined the organization in 2004 as a field superintendent. Working alongside his brother, Adam MacLeod, who serves as the president and construction manager, he oversees the sales, accounting and financial aspects of the business, as well as various construction management components. Proud to continue growing the business and carrying on the family legacy, Mr. MacLeod attributes much of his success to developing fruitful working relationships with his family and employees.
NRE's vast portfolio over the past three decades has included a multitude of bridges and overpasses, high-rise buildings and hotels, schools and churches and even a speedway. However, one of Mr. MacLeod's proudest projects included the Maple Leaf Gardens. A major reconstruction, the heritage building required a new university facility and an arena on the fourth floor. Commemorated for his success and contributions, Mr. MacLeod received several recognitions from The Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC), including an Award of Excellence in Engineering for the Maple Leaf Gardens project in 2013, an Award of Merit in Engineering for the Humber College Building F addition in 2015, an Award of Merit in Projects Converted to Steel for the Saint Michael's Cathedral Basilica restoration in 2017, and an Award of Merit in Engineering for the company's role in building the Niagara Speedway in 2019.
Mr. MacLeod studied construction engineering at Niagara College in Canada from 2003 to 2005. To remain aware of developments in his industry, he is a member of the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC), the Canadian Welding Bureau, and the Niagara Construction Association, all of which have played an instrumental role in his career.
