Upon earning a National Merit Scholarship, Dr. Bradbury pursued a formal education at the Rochester Institute of Technology, from which he graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology. He subsequently was granted a fellowship by the National Science Foundation and earned a doctorate in biology from Yale University in 1982. Dr. Bradbury attributes his success to having received the aforementioned scholarship as well as his hard work and positive attitude.
Since 2018, Dr. Bradbury has excelled as the chairman of the biochemistry department at A. T. Still University. In this role, he teaches biochemistry and genetics to medical students and conducts scientific research. Prior to this position, Dr. Bradbury worked as a professor of biochemistry, molecular biology and genetics as well as the chairman of the basic sciences department at California Northstate University College of Medicine.
Notably, Dr. Bradbury researched proteins involved in fatty acid transport. In 2020, he was presented with the Outstanding Reviewer Award from the International Association of Medical Science Education. Dr. Bradbury has been additionally affiliated with the International Association of Medical Science Educators, the Association of Medical and Graduate Departments of Biochemistry, the American Society of Biochemistry and Microbiology and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
