BELLEVUE, NE, January 31, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ray Bullock has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A distinguished business owner and restaurateur, Mr. Bullock has excelled as the owner, proprietor and founding partner of Ray's Wings & Pizza, formerly known as Ray's Original Buffalo Wings, since 1991. As the head of his business, he manages the operations' finances, handles media relations and supervises social media activities, among numerous other tasks. Notably, Ray's Wings has been voted as the Best Traditional Buffalo Wings in Omaha, Nebraska on 15 occasions and has also been recognized as the Best of Omaha by Omaha Magazine.
Prior to spearheading his entrepreneurial endeavor, Mr. Bullock worked for a pizzeria while he was enrolled in high school and utilized his knowledge to write a presentation for a college English class about how to make chicken wings. He had also offered a demonstration for his classmates, who subsequently encouraged him to establish his own restaurant. Mr. Bullock and his wife would subsequently become inspired to open Ray's Original Buffalo Wings.
Mr. Bullock enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1979 after graduating from high school. During his service, which lasted through 1983, he learned all about information technology, which led to a career with Sprint for nearly 30 years. During this time, Mr. Bullock had to close his restaurant for about fifteen years while he operated in a full-time capacity for Sprint.
In 2014 after retiring from Sprint, Mr. Bullock decided to partner with his son, Tom, to re-open Ray's Wings & Pizza. Today, Ray's Wings & Pizza is proud to be an official Buffalo Bills sports bar. Outside of his primary responsibilities, Mr. Bullock is a member of the American Legion and a founding member of the Omaha chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse.
Upon reflection on his career trajectory, Mr. Bullock attributes his success to his mother, who raised him and his sister as a single mother after his father passed away. He recalls that she strived to raise two children and buy a home, as she was employed full time in Buffalo, New York. She also focused on fighting for children after being elected to the local school board and helping parents. Mr. Bullock learned from his mother that he can do and be anything he wanted to be.
With this sentiment in his heart, Mr. Bullock is incredibly proud to be a good father to his four children. Likewise, he fondly recalls having watched them grow up to be successful adults with kind hearts. As an entrepreneur, his greatest achievement has been being able to build a successful business that he was able to pass on to his son. Looking toward the future, Mr. Bullock looks forward to a well-deserved full time retirement and giving his son full control of the business while enjoying cooking and riding his motorcycle in his spare time.
