Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Ramos has expanded upon his expertise, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English and American literature from Brown University, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Rhode Island and a Doctor of Education in educational leadership and administration from the Teachers College at Columbia University. Driven to remain aware of changes in the field, Dr. Ramos aligns himself with the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents, the American Association of School Administrators, the Urban Superintendents of America, and the Headmasters Association.
Due to his outstanding breadth of knowledge, Dr. Ramos authored "Closing the Gap: The Institutionalization of Learning Communities" through the National Association of Secondary School Principals. Additionally, he has been bestowed with the John Winthrop Wright Ethics in Action Award from the School for Ethical Education, the Living Waters Award from the Connecticut Association of Congregational Churches, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. International Award from the state of Israel and a Lifetime Achievement Award through the University of Rhode Island. In the coming years, Dr. Ramos hopes to expand upon the scope of his consultancy and share it with his son, who is now an assistant school principal. Likewise, he hopes to continue serving as a mentor for newcomers in the profession, as well as write his own book.
