Ms. Gantt-Wilkins was recognized as the Employee of the Year by the Dallas County Juvenile Department-Psychology Unit.

In her initial academic pursuits, Ms. Gantt-Wilkins earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1997. She subsequently obtained a Master of Arts in professional counseling from Amberton University in 2004. Ms. Gantt-Wilkins holds licenses as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). Additionally, she holds the designations as a board approved supervisor for LPC-Associates who are pursuing independent licensure, a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Master's Addiction Counselor (MAC).
Ms. Gantt-Wilkins began her career in the state of Missouri with the Division of Youth Services as a Youth Specialist at the Northwest Regional Youth Center, before working as a Deputy Juvenile Officer with the Jackson County Family Courts. Since 2001, she has excelled in various positions while working with the Dallas County Juvenile Department. She began her career as a Community Liaison, acting as a go-between with the parents and teacher to assist at-risk students. In her current position as a Clinical Program Manager for an adolescent residential drug treatment program for males and females; and females with problematic sexual behaviors, Ms. Gantt-Wilkins assists LPC Associates and LCDC Interns with training and supervision towards independent licensure.
As a testament to her exceptional efforts, Ms. Gantt-Wilkins was recognized as the Employee of the Year by the Dallas County Juvenile Department-Psychology Unit. Attributing her success to her faith (Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me), and she was greatly inspired by her parents, who encouraged her to always do her best. In the coming years, Ms. Gantt-Wilkins is considering returning to academia for her doctorate in neuropsychology to better understand how trauma affects the brain and how it influences our response to the world.
