He has served as the chief clinical officer of PG Dental in Philadelphia, a dental support organization, since 2000 and the chief dental officer of Capstone Dental Group and Dental Health Associates, PA, since 2017. In addition to treating patients and reviewing x-rays, he handles clinical operations and quality control, oversees qualitative courses and addresses disputes as they arise. Additionally, Dr. Oh has been serving as an implantologist for American Dental Care/Pinnacle Dental/Mainstreet Dental in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey since 2014.
Apart from his clinical work, Dr. Oh has become a frequent speaker who lectures and provides training on implant surgery to others in the field nationally and internationally. He also participates on the advisory boards for several dental implant companies and has been appointed as the current chief clinical officer for AFP Industries. Furthermore, Dr. Oh is involved with an organization called KLYR, and several other projects, which are not related to dentistry.
An inventor in his field, Dr. Oh secured a U.S. patent for a surgical device for the Zyg-Oh Zygomatic Implant guidance instrument and is currently collaborating with several engineers and implant companies to develop additional assisting devices. He maintains his interest in extramaxillary dental implant surgery, bone regeneration, the All-On-X Full Mouth Reconstruction Concept, and other relevant topics. Disseminating his research, he has contributed to the Journal of Maxillofacial Trauma, and is currently working on several publications to help drive innovation in dental implantology. Dr. Oh has also been published several times in Philadelphia Magazine, Incisal Edge Magazine and Dental Implant Practices Today.
Involved in charity work, Dr. Oh donates one full mouth reconstruction per quarter to a patient who cannot afford treatment. To date, he has donated over $300,000 in dental implant treatment, and has pledged to donate $2M in dental implant treatment in his career. An elected fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Dr. Oh is a member of the American Dental Association and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in physiology and neurobiology at the University of Maryland in College Park in 2008, Dr. Oh obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland in Baltimore in 2012. Additional educational pursuits to his credit include a process biochemistry internship with MedImmune-Astrazeneca, an oral and maxillofacial surgical residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia and additional oral and maxillofacial surgery training at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. Dr. Oh has been further certified in advanced cardiac life support and basic life support through Hahnemann University Hospital since 2012.
Highlighted several times for his career achievements, Dr. Oh was honored among the Top 40 Dentists Under 40 in the U.S. by Incisal Edge Magazine in 2020, as a Top Dentist by Philadelphia Magazine in 2019 and 2020 and as a Top Doc for Implantology by Philadelphia Magazine annually between 2019 and 2022. Among other recognitions, he received First Placement for a case report poster presentation at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia in 2012.
