WAUPACA, WI, February 08, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Wanda Toups Eikenbary has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Ms. Eikenbary initially earned a Bachelor of Music degree in piano pedagogy, with an emphasis on church music, from Loyola University in New Orleans, LA in 1976. She subsequently earned a Master of Music degree in piano performance from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX in 1983, where she studied with renowned pianist Joseph Banowetz. Since 2004, she has excelled as Director of Music Ministries at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI. In this role, she manages four choirs and a contemporary praise ensemble for a large congregation. Ms. Eikenbary also manages all music used in Trinity's worship services, including lining up and rehearsing with soloists (used especially during the years of the pandemic), as well as choosing hymns and musical liturgy used in worship. Ms. Eikenbary has been teaching private piano lessons throughout her career, beginning in 1976, having studied with world-famous pedagogue Jane Bastien as a child herself.
In addition to her main career at Trinity, Ms. Eikenbary is the pianist for Shepherd's Quarter, a contemporary Christian ensemble affiliated with the church. She is also active as the pianist, board member and treasurer of Waupaca Community Theatre, a subset of Waupaca Fine Arts Festival, since 2003. Ms. Eikenbary has also served as rehearsal pianist and orchestra member of Waupaca Community Choir since 2005, another subset of Waupaca Fine Arts Festival. In addition, she has served as a board member of Waupaca Fine Arts Festival since 2010. Ms. Eikenbary has performed in multiple musical concerts, including 15 years as pianist/accompanist for the Waupaca Rotary "Waupaca's Own Concert" (an annual fundraiser event). In addition to her many music-related activities, Mas. Eikenbary maintains professional memberships in the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, the National Federation of Music Clubs and the Wisconsin Federation of Music Clubs.

She grew up learning to appreciate music from her musical family members, two of whom were professional musicians themselves. She especially acknowledges the inspiration of her dear Aunt Betty, known professionally as Dr. Betty Campbell, who was a college professor of music for decades. Ms. Eikenbary is also grateful for having been born and raised in New Orleans, LA, where she was surrounded by a rich culture of musical styles, and numerous great musicians. Ms. Eikenbary plans to continue working with her current church's music ministry and the talented individuals involved for years to come.
