DORAL, FL, February 09, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jessica Klayman has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Inspired by her great-grandmother, Grace Henry, who was one of the first women to illegally take the bar examination and become an attorney, Ms. Klayman decided she wanted to pursue a career in law. Additionally, her grandmother, Gretchen Klayman, went to law school as well. After earning an associate degree from Eastern Florida State College in 2014, she received a bachelor's degree in English specialized in Technical Communication from the University of Central Florida in 2017, while also serving as an investment advisor with Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT.
Upon receiving her undergraduate degree, Ms. Klayman worked as a sales associate for Holiday Inn Club Vacations before founding her own software application, Candidate IQ. As founder, she oversees the finances, development, visual structure and philosophy of the application and its development. Driven to further her professional expertise, she is currently studying to receive a Doctor of Jurisprudence in the Business of Innovation Law and Technology Program, specializing in Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship from the University of Miami School of Law, which will be completed in 2022.
On her path to becoming an attorney, Ms. Klayman has expanded upon her expertise as a legal intern for the Investor Rights Clinic at the University of Miami. In that role, she successfully negotiated a settlement with opposing counsel regarding broker misconduct alleged by a client, drafted research memoranda and negotiated with opposing counsel regarding discovery documents. She also served as a legal intern with the Startup Law Clinic at the University of Miami, where she conducted legal research regarding diverse intellectual property issues. Drawing upon her considerable knowledge, she serves today as a Lexis Associate and student representative for LexisNexis.
To remain abreast of changes in the field, Ms. Klayman aligns herself with the American Bar Association, of which she is a student member. Although her career has been filled with highlights, she is most proud of working three jobs to finish her undergraduate degree without any student loans. For her outstanding breadth of knowledge, she won the Stu Oman's Award for Excellence in Technical Communication through the University of Central Florida. Within the coming years, Ms. Klayman aims to sit for the bar examination in the State of California and establish her own firm.
